Every type of chemical substance which is manufactured in or imported into the EU must comply to the REACH process. That includes also substances, which are already in the scope of other regulations (e.g. pharmaceuticals, pesticides, cosmetics and radioactive substances.) For these substances there might be partial or full excemptions from the REACH process.
All substances which are manufactured or imported in quantities of at least 1 ton per year are in the scope of REACH regulation if not explicitely exempted. Based on the quantity exported to or produced within the EU, the documentation requirements vary.
Please, check the ECHA website for more guidance or contact us. Manufacturers outside of the EU have to use "only representatives" which must be a natural person or a company within the EU.
